One of our local projects teams partnered with GTECH, a local non-profit organization, to design and install a stormwater cistern system at a local church. The system collects rainwater from the roof into a 500 gallon cistern for storage. It also includes a first-flush system to prevent debris from the roof from entering the storage cistern. The stored water will be used to water a garden next to the cistern.
Our team designed the layout of the system, with input from our partners at GTECH. We installed the cistern over two workdays in late October and early November. Once a few last parts are purchased, the system will be ready for use collecting water in the spring. We look forward to partnering with GTECH on more projects in the future!
